Africa Farming Project Profile(NGO)

Africa Farming Project (AFP) is a non-profit, non governmental(NGO) organisation which mission is to contribute to the nation unemployment drive by ensuring sustainable agriculture development, Economic empowerment, Poverty alleviation, Youths employment generation through entrepreneurship development, capacity building/training and new innovation information management/technology.

**AFP is also involve in promoting and assisting sustainable agriculture development in Nigeria by encouraging and supporting the youths and women in farming, training of smallholder farmers and general networking of the various farmers communities, institutions, agencies, financial institutions, Insurance, investors, government and the public.

The four major Agric events organized yearly by AFP consist of

Northern Nigeria Int'l Agricultural Summit- (Nonias Summit)

(a) Northern Nigeria International Agricultural Summit- (Nonias Summit) which is been organized in Northern Nigeria in every month of December yearly. Northern Nigeria has a population of over 70(seventy) million people with over 20(twenty) million farmers.

Western Nigeria Int'l Agricultural Summit (Wesniagric Summit)

(b)Western Nigeria International Agricultural Summit (Wesniagric Summit) which is been organized in every month of may/June yearly. Western Nigeria has a population of over 50(fifty) million people with over 15 (fifteen) million farmers.

Eastern Nigeria Int'l Agricultural Summit (Eniagric Summit)

(c)Eastern Nigeria International Agricultural Summit (Eniagric Summit) which is been organized in every month of September yearly. Eastern Nigeria has a population of over 20(twenty) million people with over 6(six) million farmers.

South Southern Nigeria Intl Agricultural Summit(SSNiagric Summit)

(d) South Southern Nigeria Intl Agricultural Summit(SSNiagric Summit) which is been organized in every month of February yearly .South South Nigeria has a population of over 15 million people with over 3 million farmers.

West Africa Intl livestock and Aquaculture Summit (WAILAS Summit)

(e) West Africa Intl livestock and Aquaculture Summit (WAILAS Summit) which is been organized in every month of Feb/March annually in FCT Abuja for the whole of West Africa ,this is meant to be rotated in the countries in west Africa

N/B it is our desire to work with any organization or government on areas of capacity building for the youths, women in various agro enterprises, agro processing, agro commodity marketing, empowerment, developing the agro business and information network for massive job creation in the states. With our network and experience in agro business and information networking in Nigerian states, we believe our partnership with you in the states agriculture development will help in both the rescue mission of various state government and the total transformation of the national agricultural sector for massive food production, Economic empowerment and job creation all over the country.
